too much time

hello loyal cassie and nirmal and occasional others... heh.. UNSW got back to me!! My phone interview will commence morning 8.45am Friday on the 26th... They ask me if it ok, the time and the date. I held back the urge to say "WTHHH!?? 8.45?? who the heck wants their future to be determined by a converstaion carried out 1/2 awake!? besides i also have work that day".. but i decided ill take that day off, maybe 1/2 day off...

also, to fill up this post without much effort, here's some of the emails i have sent out n received in the past few days..

UNSW:

UNSW guy: "Can you please let me know if you would be available for a telephone
interview on Friday 26 October at 8.45 am your time in Malaysia? (Sydney
time = 1.45 am)"

mike "However i am curious if there is a typing error as 8.45am Malaysia time would be 10.45am Sydney time, not 1.45am as in the mail above."

UNSW guy: "Well spotted, by the way - my poor typing skills have been shown up again.
Your interview is 8.45 am your time (10.45 am Sydney time)."

they seem so friendly... unfortunately he wont be interviewing me but instead, Mary... sighh..


ok.. if uve made thru the last few sentences, u are worthy of a reward... icecream? nah.. stars.. *** <-- for u...

Hey _____,

With regards to the above, yes.. I could not get the chop for the parking. After much planning on taking different routes to avoid detection from Security camera’s, I went to the 3^rd floor and was greeted by a worker.. walking confidently out of the lift nearing the table. NO CHOP.. and on the other table, another worker is sitting down there. Maybe he is incharge of chopping the parking tickets and the box is nowhere to be seen. I went to the lower floor also don’t have.

I walk out of East Inn knowing, Fk… just lost 25 bucks on parking T-T<-- tears of sorrow.
Bloody heck, what to do. Resort to final tactic- beg the ticketing person, tho Ive only seen em 2 times…
Anyway this is an informal email for your comic relief. I would ask u to rescue me but ure in Vietnam. Basket..

Ps- I called 85 ppl today.. the mouthpiece stinks of my saliva.

but as u know, i was rescued so it all ends well..

btw raya break was nice..i hung out with my brother allot coz his wife went holiday in Japan without him.. so kesian.. i helped him mark his paper. (if u didnt know, he lectures in MMU). of course only the objectives and short questions. It took so much time. some were terrible to read and bloody funny... ill try to remember a few,

remember that this is a Screenwriting paper... its film arts stuff...

What is a mentor?
"A mentor is an old man, sometimes woman, and is wise."
example: ob1-kenoby call the good guy go help him save the princess.

What is a "trickster" and give examples.
"He is a person who makes people laugh or sometimes, cry..".. example: the fat cat in pinocchio.
WTH...OK.. i just gave him the marks because i dont rememeber shit from pinocchio but i somehow doubt there IS a fat cat... hmmm.. Benifit of the doubt...

What is the "call to adventure"?
"it is when the hero is called to an adventure. Example in brokebackmountain when the 2 guys is asked to go to the ranch" 1 mark out of 5 for correct example i think...

ok the worst example i got of a movie was Power Rangers by Saban Nur or soemthing like that..
i mean.. if u say "ET by steven spielberg" ok...can.. famous.. Who the heck remmebers anything from power rangers!!???
When the green ranger..etc... darn funny when i read... he used Power Rangers for so many examples... -_-....
also got someone based many answers on Beauty and the beast.. must be a girl..

oh, and b4 the exam, my brother showed a movie called 400 Blows... (no dont think funny)..
and nearly 75% of the people put 400 below, 400 blo.. or some weird incorrect but similar word..
also some people put movies which i have never heard of... -_-.... i gave then BOTD and put correct...
OH OH someone put gollum as trickster aka comic relief.. i put WRONG =D
