i arrived at sydney after the stupid ordeal at the airport... finding a place to live was much harder than i thought... dispite coming here 2 weeks earlier, there were so many people looking for accommodation.. and the numbers just kept increasing everyday! Its ridiculous! i wanted to kill them... not just kill kill... kill FAST... coz more kept coming in...
aih so tired... continue later la... tales of me trying to live at "female only" places.. people peeing out of the window.. sleeping at a $4 place... and finding out i type an average of 17-19 WORDS a minute... now time 2 sleepu...

sleepu is sleep in japanese... i know coz my sister inlaw is japanese...

pretty much any english word, when adding a suffix "u" at the end, makes it japanese...
works better when words end with P, K or S.

eg. u better keepu ur own trash or i will kicku ur assu...

end- i got a place out of desperation, after 5 days of pure searching, im now sharing a room with a sporean i met during my daily visits to the place where the house/room listings are at.
id like my own room tho..

points to note:
-my legs ache, but are stronger.. i walked at least 4 hours a day... im positive
-unsw was once long ago a place to train shaolin students kung fu... it was why it's built on a slope... its so damn hilly... ive walked more steps in the past 6 days than in 2 months combine...
-Skateboarding is dangerous here...u need a seperate insurance to cover that...
-DAMN ALLOT OF SPOREANS... AND NEARLY ALL DOING MEDICINE! what theee....

6 hour delay, 7 hour wait, and counting

Been here since 5.50pm, now its 1am.. they keep adding 1 hour to the departure time..
4 passes through the security check, 2 body checks (stupid belt), 3 rounds to go charge laptop, hours and hours online, 1 washroom visit, 3 trips to the water fountain, 1 bottle water bought (confiscated on re-entry to boarding area- what bullshit),1 free dinner, 1 terrrible supper, a painned ass.. 23456781234251678638901263489721 angry ppl.. and a very impatient and tired me.

i just want to tell u how.....awesome things happen, by God's grace, even though you are not that deserving... I shall summarize quick coz im so tired n getting destroyed by mosquitos...
Well, it all started after form 5 i think, when i went to my dad's boss' place for christmas dinner.. teh boss talked abit to my dad and I and mentioned "ahh.. if he get straight A's i can sponsor him laa" ... but u know how rich and powerful people talk... they forget quick...
When UCAS application came: i ask my dad "so how? he can sponsor?"
dad said no.
mike: Sure or not?
dad : cannot la.
(not exactly but the jist is there)
dad retired like at the beginning of A levels... so at that time he no longer worked in the company but the boss Dato' was and is very kind.. give my dad some pocket money every month...under the context that he is a "consultant"... not much but its something...
So i didnt apply UCAS. UK = Pound = x7 = death

After A levels= Straight A's~ yeah~ but no difference.. already have financial planning for education.. actually not enough for my mega shit expensive course.... (DUH! STUAI(U@)(RJIAPO) but we figured that the money will grow some amounts, plus there still will be income thru the kindi, and of course i must survive on grass and insects..
in short, we have to live kinda tight.. even if its actually NOT THAT BAD but the mental pressure was quite.... bad... at least i was very worried.. shit man.. mentos sour flavour that i saw at giant also i didnt wanna buy coz i thought waste money...
(of coz i probably wasted it somewhere else)

Then i found out that boss gave like allowance to some students... like... 1k AU$ per month for living expenses.. like... ease the burden sort of grant...

so i thought... i'd want that... i mean.. i'd really allow me to spend more freely in australia... less worry... (again just the jist)
Ask dad: dont wan la...
mike: why
dad: i calculated we have enough.. n u r taking the PTPdunno what loan right?
mike: where can count like that.. doesnt mean its steady growth of money
dad: dont have to worry.. God will provide..

Tuesday went and see boss... ok.. i was actually more nervous than i thought i would be when i was there... keep in mind all the while i thought i was applying for 1k AU$ a month...
went n see boss.. me scared... dad talks.. he glances at letter.. and attached results

boss: im going off london tonight with wife... and she's out to lunch.. why so late only come?
dad: uve been so kind to us.. and to me.. etc (basically very very super pai seh-boss already so nice even tho he retire already)

so yea... people.. i got scholarship to study... how freaking amazing is that?
my parents were so damn happy.. my mom smiling like anything.. she said the whole morning till afternoon she was praying for full scholarship.. then she thought "abit greedy.... but if GOd wants to grant it, He will" and so he did.. i feel cacat cz i only pray for grace... pray small... luckily mom is women of great faith.. mwahahhaa ...thx mom.. thx dad... thx boss and company.. and thx God..

in anycase.... i know this is might be a boring n crappy post but it is a joyous one..
only down side is increased pressure to study... quite substancially since i have to send THEM my results periodically...

The type of movie that gets me..

Couple o weeks ago, i watched a movie called Juno. I have not heard of it until she said she wanted to watch it coz she bought the DVD. I saw the cover. Didnt recognize the actress. (she looks young) The actor was Michael Cera from Superbad. So i figured i was in for some kinda Stone-ish comedy:- stuff I kinda like actually. After the movie,of which i loved, i wanted to burn 10 copies and pass it around...... nahh... I wouldnt give u 1/2 an A4 paper u freeloaders.
Juno was a movie about a 16 year old girl who accidentally gets pregnant and has to make decisions of what to do. Oh n the girl, Juno, is weird.
(It starred Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner & Jason Bateman.)
I think the movie kicks heavy ass and all of u should watch it. It might NOT be your cup of tea but u'd be the least bit entertained, i promise! COMMON! How often do i go advertising movies?

U see, after some thought, i realise i am somewhat fond of movies with partially (or fully) weird AND sincere characters. Like they're, how do i say this.... Honest.
I also like the movie Garden State (directed by and starred Zach Braff) and used to be, and still IS, one of my favourites but me thinks Juno wins for entertainment values. Lately Zach Braff's movie (The Ex,etc) have been sucking.

Based on these 2 movies, ive also concluded that for a movie to be memorable to me, it must have kick ass movie playing in the background:- by kick ass I mean music which instills a sense of melancholy, irony and romance(?) throughout the movie. Ahh..just the right amount of gayness.
Its gay to say but both these 2 movies have happy endings..("spoiler" heh..)
I mean, who likes movie endings where the heroin's head gets engulfed by a Queen Broodmother Alien whilst her little spawnlings nibble her organs? This normally preceeds the Hero- (who instead of reloading, cleverly throws away his gun after it runs out of ammo.) -breaking of the tail of an alien soldier, which has poisoned tip, and stabs it through the QUBA (short for QUeenBroodmotherAlien) "Haha! Death to u! See the irony? Ur own soldier killed u! It was HIS tail! I used it against u! See! Smart!"

Would u prefer watching this garbage?

Ok Truthfully, i exaggerated. What kinda stupid show would even have this shit....

Back to the topic- Both movies have couples who are made out of 2 equally weird/special people. NO!! BY SPECIAL I DO NOT MEAN CACAT! NO ALL "SPECIAL"s MEAN CATAT!
Maybe i find it aluring to see 2 people who do not "fit in", rebelious to the social hierarchy, be together, just chilling out at their own pace. (oh shit! i tried to spell hierarchy as "hiraki, hieraki and hieraky" Thank you google.) It COULD be that i find myself wanting to be like that. Not caring about what people thing around you. Witty in my own way. Cool only to my standards. Its what i wish i could experiece. However these are things u cant just GO and experience. bummer eh?
And it sure beats "hot cheerleader chic ending up with the hottie highschool quaterback". Only exception goes to "She's All That". Havent watched that show in a long long time. Its so old but i think i recall liking it. Maybe i was too young at that time. heh. Oh n the girl was not a hot chic cheerleader but a weird nerdy artist girl who dont give a crap about what others think. (but is pretty, if she dresses up, and she does. surprise surprise.)
So secretly-pretty-girls-hiding-behind-nerd-facets-with-intriguing-personality, heads up! :p

Long enough post. Time to rest. People, if ure free, watch Juno! if ure bored- watch garden state (although 50% chance of putting u to sleep due to uneventfulness, i know someone who slept.lol.*points at....*) How i wish most movies are as memorable as these. Not some shit movies ive watched lately. eg. i watched 30m of "Stealth" on starmovies. Can someone say "suckass!??"
Its so stupid its disgusting.

PRE CNY reunion dinner at home. So empty this year. Bro and wife at Switzerland partaying. Father's cousin's family didnt come. Oh well, steamboat seafood. Ate pretty damn full.

Just 1 plate of sushi for 2 people. The plate was about 0.5 meter long and 15cm wide.
Doesnt seem like much? well, its much when its all freakin RAW FISH. Shit man. Too much of a good thing is bad. I never thought it would be true under THIS circumstance. (Well i KNEW it. just didnt wanna accept it.) She went out of control. Ended up i wanted to puke. Us both. "last piece jst leave it there.." "NO DONT WASTE"... i wasnt the one screaming that. Surprising aint it. heh.
