Hi friends, quick update;
Its been awhile. I am back in Malaysia for my summer holiday. Its been 2 week since I got back. Before I realised it, so much time has passed. I felt and still feel like I hardly had anytime to catch a breather. Allergies are still making my mornings a mess, helped in the kindergarten.. and I left my ipod on the plane. Drove easily more than a thousand kilometers, attended a wedding, hosted some friends from singapore, met up with some old friends, assembled an IKEA drawer, cooked for the family, cooked for the dog, oscar! (what a spoilt dog, to some extent).
Its not what I imagined my holiday to be. I meant to do some research work, find time to read some books, catch up with some friends, read the bible with some & relax. Time did not allow, and i'm sorry to those who I havent yet met. (Case, sorry!)
Every year, I see myself changing (mostly non-physical :p), and yet every year most see me as the same person; with the exception of family and close friends who I meet often.
And on the flipside, I come back and see most people are still the same, although they may not be. I wonder sometimes, where is the growth? Is it not inevitable with time and experiences of life? But I do not mean to lament here, because there is just so much to rejoice about.
My parents, as much as they are always "fighting" with each other over the smallest things, are loving and understanding . And I have learnt to serve them and honour them as a son, not complaining but doing it out of love for them and God.
Ah, the wedding which I was busying myself with the past week; the union of 2 godly people under the Lordship of Christ. I am soooooo happy for them. I may not be hugging and crying, but my insides grin everytime I think about them now being husband and wife! Congrats Andy and Sze Wen! :)
Friends from singapore, thanks for visiting! It was my pleasure hosting you guys, even though you guys came for the shortest duration ever, and the period which I was most busy, between music practices and whatnot. Didnt even get to bring you to my fav char siew place. But, your company and fellowship was much loved. Do come again, and this time for a proper holiday, if time allows. Or maybe ill just pop down. It seems I wont have much time before going back to sydney, so i will probably just see you
CERC church, to see it grow from a few people to so so many people, and growing more still, to talk to the members, seeing them interact with each other, struggle and rejoice together; all this has been such an encouragement. I wonder sometimes if 2 hour messages would deter people from listening but I guess as long as God's word is faithfully preached, it will convict people. Baffles me sometimes, but the Gospel is indeed the power of God for salvation.
My college friends whom ive hardly met except for that one dinner, well, more to come I hope .. :p
The next 2-3 weeks is already laid out for me. I better start preparing for it.
Home mercilessly gives me no time to rest. You know what they say, resting is for the weak.
haha.

just some thoughts.
should i pay allot more to live in a smaller room? from a 11.5 by 12 feet to a 10 by 10?
it seems this is being avoided.
Is the thinking of not wanting the small room due to my selfishness?
What will be the loving thing to do?
and yet... not the stupid thing to do?
or are they both the same thing?
How does "understanding the times we live in" affect this? how can God be glorified in all this?
disturbed
what made me agree to move in the first place? sigh.

a quicky
I havent been blogging for awhile. I need a break...
Overarching everything in my life for the past 2 months is the lingering thought of EOP (End Of Phase) exam. Its an exam where they test everything ive learnt since i got here, 2.5 years of stuff. How can they possibly test so many things in ONE exam? well they cant, but u will have to study it all anyway, if u want to survive that is. Its my first barrier exam (somewhat). Its been quite the experience, bouts of immense stress, then getting over that and start to not bother n be lazy, then feeling stressed about being lazy. The cycle repeats. I hope I pass.. Ive never studied this early for an exam before... then again i didnt start THAT early (though i did try starting in feb, failing miserably).
And it will only get worse. I envy art students.. too bad i dont have such talents and have to resort to stereotypical course of medicine. I think im beginning to enjoy it slightly more now.. Hopefully Phase 2 wont be filled with so much crap.
Lesson learnt: i think ill begin studying harder from now on.
I think sometimes i get unnecessarily annoyed at people. And its usually due to my presuppositions of them. i wonder if its because im judging others? my selfishness doesnt help either..
Need to stop those then..
I attended Church camp over the Easter break. Theme of the camp was "kNOw suffering, kNOw glory", which pretty much spells out what it was mainly about. Bible studies were on Romans 8. Initially i was hesitant about going, since exams was coming up. 4 days of pure non-studying was prodding at my guilty conscience. But i ended up going, and didnt regret it at all!! It was a great time of fellowship, learning more about the word and just having time away from everything to just reflect on God's word and life, something i wish i had more time to do. Got to meet a couple of new people, learnt abit more about depression, played some basketball and some balderdash. i won 1 round :D
I had wanted to write a post about camp, but.... some other time maybe.
a closing sentence does no justice to the awesomeness of the 4 days away.
Basis of attraction: What are they?

I was in the library n noticed a guy and a girl getting a seat together (im assuming they are a couple). The girl whipped out "Clinical Visual Optics" and some notes, started studying, very focused... for more than an hour. The guy read "Unibar specials" catalogue for bout 15 minutes and passed out on the table for the remaining 1h. Both are good looking.Basis of attraction: What are they?

Ive blocked Facebook and deleted MSN a week ago so i can study better. But it seems ive found other ways of procrastination. *points at this*
On a side note, my bro got into Cannes!! Holy crapp thats awesome!! im so happy for him. i was there as he planned this movie!
Now if only he came to know the Lord, my joy would infinitely surpass this.

returning to sydney - 2010
about leaving, i didnt get to say goodbye to most people, and i didnt get to see many others whom i wanted to. pretty silent leaving i would say.
Strange. With every subsequent year, I miss home & family more...it should be the opposite. in fact i barely missed home the 1st year. Maybe its because im not looking forward to the heaps of studying ahead. among other things. Oscar's moving out. Prob to my bro's new place. Tai kor's possibly changing jobs and migrating again. Mom's getting a new car.
i dont know why i have this perpetual uneasy feeling....
2010. another year.
cant believe holiday's over so quickily.
